Ancient and Old Izmir Tour

Today we will pick you up from **Izmir Airport, Port, or your hotel** and begin our city tour of **Izmir**, the Pearl of the Aegean. We will drive along **Guzelyali Seaside Street** and continue to **Asansor** and **Kadifekale (Mount Pagos)**, where you will enjoy a spectacular **panoramic view of Izmir** and the Aegean Sea. Then we will visit the **Izmir Archaeological Museum**, where you can see important archaeological treasures from the ancient **Ionian cities**. Next, we will visit the famous **Izmir Clock Tower**, the symbol of the city, and the nearby **Konak Mosque**. We will then walk through the historic **Kemeralti Bazaar**, one of the liveliest traditional markets in Izmir, and continue to **Kizlaragasi Han**, a historic Ottoman caravanserai. Here you will also see the beautiful **Hisar Mosque**. After lunch, we will visit the impressive **Ancient Agora of Smyrna**, one of the largest Roman agoras in Asia Minor. Then we will pass by **Basmane Train Station**, one of the historic railway stations of Izmir, and continue to the **Izmir Museum of History and Art** in Kultur Park. The museum has three main sections featuring **stone works, ceramic and clay works, and precious artifacts**. Afterward, we will pass through **Alsancak Train Station** and Harbor Street before reaching the ancient settlement of **Smyrna**, one of the oldest settlements in the Izmir area, with a history going back thousands of years. During our visit, you will see the remains of the **Temple of Athena**, ancient houses, and one of the **old fountains** that is still flowing today. Finally, we will drive along the beautiful **Gerdanlik Seaside Road** and drop you off at your **hotel, Izmir Port, or Airport**, bringing our Izmir city tour to an end.
