"Anzac" is the name of the Corp gathered for Great Britain in the First World War and means Australia and New Zealand Army Corps.

Anzacs was in a war for months against Ottoman Emperor Army in many fronts especially at Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. This area is under protection by the Turkish government in memoriam of the soldiers who died in this war.

Gallipoli front took an important role in the war from March to April 1915. Even today memorial ceremonies are held both for Turkish and Anzac soldiers on 18th March and 24th – 25th March every year. So during these times of the year many delegations and tourist from England, France, Australia and New Zeeland come to Gallipoli. To commemorate Anzac soldier Australians and New Zeelands attend the Dawn Service and spend the night at the open space.

The reason there isn’t a very large ceremony area, limited number of people are accepted for the 24th – 25th April Anzac memorial ceremonies. But these places can be visited all year round by many people. 100th Anniversary was commemorated in 2015 and these places were visited by many people.

We as Magical Steps Travel provide tours to Gallipoli area all year round. We arrange private Anzac tours from either Istanbul or Izmir, depending on your request we organize day or week tours. Troy, today’s Canakkale is opposite of Gallipoli. So combined tours are possible. If you have more time we add Troy, Ephesus, Pergamum, Pamukkale and Seven Churches in the tour program.
